The Fort Vallonia Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution is selling banners honoring servicemen or servicewomen that will be hung on poles in Seymour in 2023.

The Fort Vallonia Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution is giving the public an opportunity to honor a past or present member of the U.S. Armed Services with a commemorative banner.
Banners are anticipated to fly one season from Armed Forces Day (May 20) through Veterans Day (Nov. 11) on poles in Seymour.
A banner may be purchased for $120, and it will be yours to keep after the season is over. DAR officials will contact you when it’s ready for pickup.
There will be 50 banners available on a first-come, first-served basis. The deadline to order is Dec. 15.

The DAR chapter also have talked to officials in Brownstown and Crothersville about the veterans banners program. If those town councils approve to participate, information will be released.
