It is this time of the year when you may notice something odd.
A procession of animals, from dogs to cats to skunks to hamsters and even horses, comes to First United Methodist Church’s north parking lot for a special ceremony called Blessing of the Animals.
The Seymour church at 201 E. Third St. will once again offer this as a drive-thru blessing, where the animals can stay in the car or trailer to receive. It’s set for noon to 1 p.m. Sunday. Follow the signs in the north parking lot for the path to follow.
This is a joint effort between First United Methodist Church and Trinity United Methodist Church, both in Seymour.
