John Mellencamp Fan Day is planned for Thursday at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio.

The event honoring the Seymour native will include the opening of the new Legends of Rock: John Mellencamp permanent exhibit, induction footage from the Rock Hall vault, Mellencamp’s career-defining playlist played throughout the museum and on Rock Boxes in downtown Cleveland and more.

It also will include a live conversation onstage with the 2008 inductee at 5 p.m.

iHeartRadio will broadcast the opening for a special live edition of “iHeartRadio ICONS with John Mellencamp” nationwide featuring a performance by Mellencamp at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He will speak with iHeartMedia on-air personality Jim Kerr about the exhibit and his special tour announcement.

The performance and interview and will air at 5 p.m. Thursday across select iHeartMedia Classic Rock, Adult Hits, Classic Hits and Variety stations nationwide.

Mellencamp educational activities are available for educators, too, and the museum will debut new content added to this collection. Rock Hall EDU offers free online learning resources and onsite programs at edu.rockhall.com.
