Relay for Life of Columbus, which is open to the public, will be from 4 to 10 p.m. Aug. 27 at Central Middle School, 725 Seventh St., Columbus.

Jackson County teams also will participate in a drive-thru display of luminaria bags in honor or memory of loved ones in the parking lot at First Baptist Church in Seymour from 6 to 9 p.m. Sept. 10. Names will be read at the top and bottom of each hour: 6 p.m., 6:30 p.m., 7 p.m., 7:30 p.m., 8 p.m., 8:30 p.m. and 9 p.m.

Visitors are encouraged to park before or after driving or walking through to listen to the names being read.

Anyone may donate to the American Cancer Society and Relay for Life at relayforlife.org/columbusin or at either event.
