George and Jodi Mellencamp will celebrate their 50th anniversary on Aug. 19, 2022.
They were married at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Seymour, where both are members.
They have three children, all of whom are celebrating anniversary years this year: Julie (Mike) Hackman (25 years), Matthew “Grover” (Wendy) Mellencamp (20 years) and Sarah “Sadie” (Chad) Hubbard (10 years).
The Mellencamps’ oldest grandson, Grant Hackman, will be married this year to Briley Abraham. Other grandchildren are Brock Hackman, Mitchell, Jack and Kenzi Mellencamp and Ava, Riley and Logan Hubbard.
A family trip to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic is scheduled for the future.
