The Stuff the Bus campaign will take place July 8 to 13 outside Walmart Supercenter, 1600 E. Tipton St., Seymour.

Volunteers are scheduled to collect school supplies and load them onto a bus in two-hour increments. Anyone interested in volunteering should contact Jackson County United Way Engagement Director Emily Engelking at [email protected] or 812-522-5450, ext. 4.

In 2021, the local United Way’s Rock’n Ready program served more than 1,200 Jackson County students by eliminating barriers to their education and providing them with the needed supplies for a successful school year.
