Friends of the Library book sale moved to July 9

Due to the Fourth of July holiday weekend, Friends of the Jackson County Public Library will hold its bimonthly sale to 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 9 in the meeting room of the Seymour Library, 303 W. Second St.

Members-only sales will be held from 4 to 5:30 p.m. July 8 and 10:30 to 11 a.m. July 9.

Thanks to a recent donation, movies are buy one, get one free at this sale. Updated item sale prices are adult hardbacks, softbound books, music CDs and movies for $1 and children’s and young adult books and small paperbacks two for a $1. There also will be some specially priced surplus equipment, including computers, only available at this sale.

Anyone unable to visit the sale on any of these days or times can shop from the ongoing sales in the Seymour Library Book Nook or sales carts at the Crothersville and Medora libraries during regular hours.

Anyone interested in becoming a Friend of the Library or renewing their 2022 annual membership will find the forms at the sale, at the checkout desks or online at myjclibrary.org/friends. Annual dues are $5 for individuals, $10 for family, $25 for donor and $50 for benefactor.

Donations for the sales are accepted during regular library hours. Monetary or item donations without membership or purchases are also welcomed.
