SEYMOUR

Janice Sue (Cooper) Morgan , age 74, was delivered by Dr. Stork on May 27, 1947 in Huntingburg, Indiana to John and Pauline (Zimmerman) Cooper and lived in Wickliffe, Indiana. She departed this earthly life unexpectedly on the wing of Jesus at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 as the result of a brain aneurism.

In May 1965, she was the last graduating class of Birdseye, Indiana, IN December 1965 she married the love of her life, Donald L. Morgan and together they shared 56 wonderful years. During their early years, they lived in Seymour, Indiana and Jasper, Indiana where she worked as a telephone operator. They then moved to Statesville, North Carolina where they lived for twenty years and she worked as a Remax office assistant. In July of 2001 they returned to their beloved Seymour where they have continued to live and make wonderful memories together.

She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church for over 10 years where she has served as a Sunday School Teacher, choir member and all around “general joy bringer”. She was always active in her church and loved to show the “sonny” side of this life through her relationship with her Lord Jesus. She always looked forward to church cookouts where she was famous for her brownies and no bake cookies. She was always willing to help others and up for an adventure looking for ways to put a smile on the face of others and sharing her favorite scripture found in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”. Janice will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her and each life that she touched in her own special way.

She is survived by her husband Donald L. Morgan of Seymour, Indiana, two sons, John and Rebecca Morgan of Mauldin, South Carolina and Matthew “Scott” Morgan of Virginia. Two Brothers, Mark Cooper and his wife Leeta of Birdseye, Indiana and Paul Cooper and his wife Lisa of Birdseye, Indiana. One sister, Brenda Toby and her husband Windell of Jasper, Indiana.
