Donald D. Klakamp, 73, of Vallonia passed from this Earth on May 9, 2022, at his home, surrounded by his family.
He was born on August 29, 1948, to Flora Ellen and Dale Klakamp.
He loved many many activities, including air boating and fishing on the river, motorcycles, shooting guns and hanging out with his friends by a campfire.
He was a member of Local 157 Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Union of Terre Haute and had been a member since he was 18 years old.
On April 4, 1975, he married Mary Malin Klakamp. She survives.
He is also survived by his brothers, Robert (Tina) Klakamp and Don (Laurie) Klakamp; his son, Dale Klakamp of Seymour; and daughters, Donna Nesbit of Commiskey, Theresa (Donnie) Hynes of Jonesville, Lori (Kenny) Engleking of Bedford and Dawn Alexander (Joe) of Brownstown. He is also survived by grandchildren, Toby, Alicia, Rusty, Casey, Bobby, Destiny, Dylan, Renee, Corey, Kameron, Alison, Jessica, Robbie and Alyssa as well as many great-grandchildren.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, Ellen and Dale Klakamp, and a son, Donald Dale Klakamp II.
There is a celebration of his life to be held on May 28, 2022, at 2 p.m. at the Delaney State Park pavilion.
