Local physician assistant appointed chairperson of state committee

Bret Cornn of Seymour was appointed as chairperson during the March meeting of the Physician Assistant Committee of the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency.

The committee is a regulatory body composed of members appointed by the governor. The committee serves the state through its duties approving license applications and renewals, disciplinary hearings and rulemaking. The board is composed of three physician assistants, one physician and one member representing the general public.

Cornn has been a member of the committee since initially appointed in 2016. He has been in family practice for 24 years and is employed by Schneck Primary Care.

He graduated as a physician assistant from Emory University in 1997 and received his undergraduate degree from DePauw University in 1992.
