The annual party for the Immanuel Lutheran Guild was held Feb. 1 in the fellowship hall of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Seymour.

Members enjoyed a pitch-in dinner. The tables were decorated with vases of fresh red roses, which were later given as door prizes.

Entertainment for the night was Blake Hackman, who showed slides and talked about his experience working on the Rose Parade floats in California at the end of December. He attended along with Bobby Eldridge and other volunteers. Hackman said he truly enjoyed working on the floats and talked about the amount of flowers and seeds used on the floats.

Linda Eggersman, chairperson for the event, gave an opening devotion and welcomed everyone. The yearbook committee handed out new books for 2022.

The committee that provided the main course and drinks consisted of Eggersman, Ester Becker, Brenda Darlage, Tammy Martindale and Adrene Wunder.

The officers for 2022 are president, Linda Eggersman; vice president, Sharon Toppe; secretary, Sandy Kilgas; and treasurer, Janet Cooper.

Lisa Lewis and Pat Nicholson are nursing home visitation volunteers for February.
