Shirley Lorraine Durbin-Brown passed away March 1, 2022, at Avenir Memory Care, Knoxville, TN. Shirley was born August 20, 1937, in Louisville, KY. She was the daughter of George and Zora Durbin, both of whom proceeded her in death. On July 8, 1960, she married Ronald Brown who proceeded her in death on Dec. 18, 2015.

Shirley was a member of Seymour Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and loved working with the youth organization Rainbow for Girls. While working with Rainbow Girls, she served as Mother Advisor and Grand Deputy. She was also a member of Seymour Christian Church.

Shirley is survived by a son, Mark (Shonnie) Brown of Knoxville, TN; a daughter, Paula (Patrick) Warbington of Indianapolis, IN; 4 grandchildren: Shianne (Chad) Kiana, Travis Brown, AJ Brown, and Tanner Brown. She was proceeded in death by two brothers, Carl Durbin, and James Durbin and one sister, Clorine Lewellen.

After raising her children to school age, she worked several years for Ben Franklin and Sears. Once she retired, she loved traveling the world with her husband.

Visitation will be held on Monday March 7, 2022, from 11am to 1pm at Voss and Sons Funeral Service. Service will be held on Monday March 7, 2022, at 1pm at Voss and Sons Funeral Service.

Family request that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in care of Voss and Sons Funeral Service.
