BROWNSTOWN

Marlise Ingrid (Schell) Reynolds, age 79, passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2021, at Schneck Medical Center, Seymour. She was at peace, ready to meet the Lord, and unite with her parents in Heaven.

Marlise worked hard, led a simple life, and dearly loved her family. She retired from Dura Automotive and lived in Brownstown. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Marlise also enjoyed gardening, sewing, traveling, reading, and listening to music. She was an avid Indianapolis Colts and Pacers fan.

Born on April 7, 1942, in Heilbronn-Bockingen, Germany, she was the daughter of Alfred and Elsa (Wohrle) Schell, who both preceded her in death. Marlise was married to Raymond E. Reynolds (deceased).

Survivors include two sons: Marty (Billie) Reynolds of Brownstown and Mark Reynolds (Kathy Hames) of Brownstown; two daughters: Patricia Sovern of Brownstown and Tina Reynolds of California; two brothers: Alfred (Gerlinde) Schell and Jurgen (Finne) Schell; one sister, Renate (Manfred) Pfeifer; four grandchildren: Christina Mathisen, Randi Weschler, Ciara Highsmith, and Amanda Michaels; and ten great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, Marlise was also preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Manfred Pfeifer.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2022, at 7:00 p.m. at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown, with Pastor Chris Criminger officiating. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 10, 2022, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Brownstown Public Library.
