COVID-19 vaccine, testing available this week

A strike team from the Indiana State Department of Health is receiving help from the Indiana National Guard in conducting a COVID-19 vaccine and testing clinic in Seymour this week.

The mobile clinic is from noon to 8 p.m. today through Saturday at the Indiana National Guard Armory, 1925 First Ave., in the Freeman Field Industrial Park.

All vaccine types and booster shots will be available. People also can get tested for COVID-19.

Officials appreciate people making an appointment online at ourshot.in.gov, but walk-ins are welcome.

There is no cost for the vaccine or testing. People will be asked insurance questions, but insurance is not required to get the shot or test. If anyone is getting the booster shot, bringing your vaccination card is helpful.

Also, the Jackson County Health Department will be offering a Moderna vaccine clinic from 1 to 4 p.m. Jan. 21 at the Seymour Community Center, 107 S. Chestnut St.

That shot is for anyone ages 18 and older, and the booster shot will be available, too. Walk-ins are welcome.
