David Joseph Bowman, age 61, a native and resident of Seymour, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at Schneck Medical Center. He was born on May, 17, 1960 to the late Manford Bowman and Dorothy (Kamman) Bowman-Christopher of Seymour, Indiana.

He was a Christian by faith and a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church. He was Baptized on March 12, 1961 and Confirmed on April 21, 1974.

David will forever be remembered as a strong-willed man that loved hunting, selling produce and flowers and was once the owner of Poorman’s Sporting goods in Brownstown, Indiana.

He is survived by his mother, two sons, Joshua C. Bowman of Bloomington, Indiana and Dustin E. Bowman of Bedford, Indiana. One sister, Pamela M. Bowman of Seymour, Indiana, and one grandson, Elias Thompson-Bowman.

He was preceded in death by his father, one brother, Jerry L. Bowman, paternal grandparents, Calvin and Ethel (Reedy) Bowman and maternal grandparents, Victor and Norma (Wischmeier) Kamman.

The family will receive friends on Monday, December 20, 2021 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Woodlawn Family Funeral Centre. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be directed to the family, American Cancer Society, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or the National Wild Turkey Federation of which David was a member.

Funeral services will begin at 1:00 PM with Pastor Jeff Yeadon officiating.
