The Indiana Football Coaches Association released its all-state teams on Monday morning, and Brownstown had three players make the list for their play in the 2021 season.

Kiernan Tiemeyer and Eli Wischmeier earned spots on the 3A senior all-state team, and Carson Darlage earned a spot on the 3A junior all-state team.

Those three helped lead the Braves to an 11-1 season that ended in the sectional championship game with a loss to Lawrenceburg.

Heading into that sectional title game, Tiemeyer had rushed 112 times for 1,273 yards with 17 touchdowns. As for Darlage, who was the Braves’ quarterback, he also had solid numbers by rushing the ball 162 times for 1,073 yards for 21 touchdowns.

Tiemeyer also had 310 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

Wischmeier was a linebacker for the Braves, and heading into the Lawrenceburg game, he had 77 total tackles.

The three Braves played a pivotal role in a successful football season this past fall.

Brownstown went undefeated in the regular season for the 12th time in the team’s history, the Braves got a third straight win over county rival Seymour and they captured the program’s 20th Mid-Southern Conference title.

The Braves won their first 11 games of the season, a feat accomplished eight previous times in the program’s history but not since the 2013 season.
