The public will be able to view the Jackson County History Center’s Festival of Trees for the first time this weekend.
Hours will be 1 to 6 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday in the livery barn on the history center campus at 105 N. Sugar St., Brownstown.
The 37 trees can then be viewed from 1 to 6 p.m. Dec. 11 and 18 and from 1 to 4 p.m. Dec. 12 and 19.
The trees also may be viewed at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 14 during the Christmas in the Village event, which also will feature carols and holiday music in the livery barn.
Plus, the Festival of Trees will be open from 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 16 during Brownstown Ewing Main Street’s Hometown Christmas celebration.

Admission is free, and visitors are encouraged to cast a vote for their favorite tree to win the people’s choice award. Votes can be cast for 21 of the trees. The theme this year is “My Favorite Animal.”
