The Indiana University Division of Business at Indiana University-Purdue University Columbus’ annual Indiana Business Outlook Panel is set for Nov. 8 at The Commons in downtown Columbus.

The event, sponsored by Centra Credit Union and co-hosted by the Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce and Kelley School of Business along with its Indiana Business Research Center, begins at 11:30 a.m. with check-in and a boxed lunch, followed by the speakers at noon.

The cost to attend is $25 for individuals, and organizations can sponsor a table for $500, which includes reserved seating for eight. All proceeds from the event help fund scholarships for students in the Division of Business at the university.

Since 1972, experts from the IBRC have compiled, analyzed and interpreted international, U.S., Indiana and local economic data and prepared predictions for the coming year.

IBRC representatives traverse the state during November to present their forecasts in communities across Indiana. At each tour stop, IBRC panelists are joined by a local expert who provides projections for the community.

Steve Mohler, an assistant professor of management at IUPUC, will provide the local outlook again this year.

Other panelists include Andrew Butters, an associate professor in the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University; Ryan Brewer, an associate professor of finance and head of the Indiana University Division of Business in Columbus; and Kyle Anderson, a clinical assistant professor of business economics at the Kelley School of Business in Indianapolis.
