Purdue Extension Jackson County is offering a free four-week email program that encourages individuals with diabetes or those who have a loved one with diabetes to improve their diabetic self-care behaviors.
Information to be shared includes: What is diabetes, what are carbohydrates and why are they important and how to build a support system.
As part of the challenge, participants will receive two weekly emails and be challenged with a new lifestyle goal to improve their health, including virtual support and healthy recipes.
Register by Monday online at forms.gle/tSaKzrsyytW2374H6. The challenge starts Oct. 25, just in time for National Diabetes Awareness Month in November.
