Walk for the Wild set at wildlife refuge

The 5K “Walk for the Wild” is set for 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge at 12985 E. U.S. 50, Seymour.

The purpose of the walk is to provide an opportunity for people to connect with nature. The event also marks the start of National Wildlife Refuge Week (Oct. 10-16).

Visitors should stop by the visitor center where walk packets and route maps will be available on tables outside the building.

There is no charge for the 3.1 mile walk and participants can do the walk anytime from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at their own pace.
