Mrs. Karen P. Byrd Ritz, 76, was called to her heavenly home the morning of July 19, 2021, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Karen was born in 1944 in Seymour, the daughter of the late Ruel Landrus and Ada Claire Walker Byrd.

On August 23, 1985, in Louisville, Kentucky, she married Ronald L. Ritz, and he survives. She was a cake decorator at Jay C Plus for 13 years. Karen attended Central Christian Church.

Survivors include her children; Timothy Ross, Daniel (Angie) Ross, and Warren (Tammy) Ross; step-children, Karen (Aaron) Green, Ricky (Tammy) Ritz; 16 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren; sister Beverly (Jim) Porter.

She was preceded in death by her sons, Kevin Ross and Brian Ross and her parents.

Visitation will be Friday, July 23, 2021, at Voss & Sons Funeral Service from 4-7pm.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 24, 11am at Voss & Sons Funeral Service with visitation one hour prior to service.

Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
