Kourtney Otte recently received a $1,500 scholarship from America’s Farmers Grow Ag Leaders.
The Seymour High School graduate plans to use the scholarship, sponsored by the Bayer Fund, to study agricultural education at Purdue University in West Lafayette.
The scholarships are available to high school seniors and college students pursuing degrees in ag-related fields. To be considered, each applicant is required to receive endorsements from two local farmers. Both FFA members and non-FFA members are eligible to apply.
Selections are based on leadership, academic record, FFA and other school and community activities, supervised agricultural or work experience in agricultural education and future goals.
America’s Farmers Grow Ag Leaders is a part of the America’s Farmers community outreach initiative.
