The 10th Dinner on the Bridge, sponsored by Friends of the Medora Covered Bridge, will be at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 7.

Tickets may be purchased by sending a check for $25 each to FMCBA, P.O. Box 132, Medora, IN 47260. A self-addressed stamped envelope is helpful but not required.

The menu will feature roast beef and ham, scalloped potatoes, green beans, two kinds of salad, rolls, homemade pie, iced tea, lemonade and water.

The 434-foot bridge, built in 1875 by Joseph J. Daniels of Rockville, was closed to traffic in 1972 but remains open to pedestrians and bicyclists today. The Burr truss design bridge took nine months to build and cost $18,142. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the bridge was renovated in 2011.

The 2020 event was not held because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
