Maurice Everett “Maury” Taulman Sr., 100, passed away on Thursday, April 1, 2021. Maury was born July 14, 1920 in Bedford (Lawrence County), Indiana. He was a son of the late Fred Everett and Frances Alice (Scheurich) Taulman, both Indiana natives.

Maury was a Bedford High School Graduate, class of 1938. Later graduating from Indiana University School of Music in Bloomington, Indiana. He was a member of the Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Music Fraternity. Maury served in the United States Marine Corps for four years in the South Pacific and New Zeland during World War II. He served as an entertainer in many hotels and night clubs in the Fort Wayne area. An organist for Bethany Lutheran Church for 31 years and a volunteer organist every Sunday in the Lutheran Home for 21 years.
