The Jackson County Commissioners will meet at 6 p.m. today in the former circuit court courtroom in the courthouse, 111 S. Main St., Brownstown.

Agenda items include a request from Jerry Hounshel with the Driftwood Township Volunteer Fire Department to close a street in Vallonia; a financial update from the Jackson County Rural Development Commission; a letter of support request for a grant application by the Jackson County Fair Association for new bleachers; and a submission for consideration of a commissary ordinance from J.L. Brewer, director of Jackson-Jennings Community Corrections.

Commissioners meetings are open to the public and press.
