Brownstown softball takes two

Brownstown Central’s softball team won the easy way and the hard way, but won two games, 13-2 over North Decatur and 3-2 over Southwestern (Hanover).

The Braves scored three runs in the second inning, three in the third and broke things wide open in the fifth with five runs in the triumph over North Decatur while piling up 11 hits.

Three players contributed two hits apiece. Zoe Stuckwisch drove in three runs and scored a run. Alli Reynolds, Rehgen Stuckwisch and Emily Singleton each cracked out two hits.

Brownstown made five hits count in the closer game with players sharing the offense.

Rylee May contained both opponents’ offenses from the mound.
