Sandra “Sandy” Kay (Field) McDonald, age 76, a native of Blocher, Indiana and a resident of Seymour, Indiana was reunited with the love of her life and husband of over 49 years, Bill McDonald on Saturday February 20, 2021 at her residence. She was born March 7, 1944 to the late Aubrey Field and Gladys (Blizzard) Field.

Sandy will forever be remembered as a classy lady that was always “put together and ready to go”. She was a “spit fire” that loved her family dearly. She loved animals and especially her dog “Dolly”. Sandy was a very talented lady that wrote poetry and many songs. She loved flowers and gardening and was a wonderful cook with her specialties including ham, baked corn and mac and tomatoes. Of all that she loved in this life, nothing compared to the love she had for her grandchildren. She lived life to the fullest and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her and each life that she touched in her own special way.

Sandy is survived by her two sons, Rohn Buffington and his wife Robin of Seymour, Indiana and Joe S. McDonald of Seymour, Indiana. One daughter, Valerie McDonald of Seymour, Indiana. Ten grandchildren, April Benton, Richard Benton and his wife Jennifer, Victoria Phillips and her husband Nathan, Kris Buffington, Steven Buffington and his wife Erin, Joseph Prather McDonald, Justin Buffington and his wife Kirstyn, Haley Pennington and her husband Ryan, William McDonald and Priscilla Buffington. She is also survived by fourteen great grand children.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two sisters, Mary Gray and Lois Acton

The family will receive friends on Thursday February 25, 2021 from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Woodlawn Family Funeral Centre. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Barry DeWitt officiating. Burial will follow at the Riverview Cemetery.
