Guard Cable Spall, who recently topped 1,000 points for his career, added 14 points to his total Tuesday night, but Crothersville lost, 58-39 to Eastern Pekin on the road.

It was 6-6 after one quarter, but the hosts moved to a 30-20 halftime lead and controlled the rest of the game.

Quinten Keasler had 9 points, 8 rebounds and 7 steals for the Tigers. The other scorers for Crothersville were Matthew Clouse and Dominic Stevens with 8 each (Stevens also had 8 boards) and Zach Helt scored 4 points.

The game began much later than scheduled because Eastern’s junior varsity engaged in a four-over-time game against another school preceding the varsity.

Crothersville, 3-17, has two regular-season games left, Friday versus Shawe Memorial and Saturday versus Austin. Both are on the road.
