
A winter storm left behind as much as 5 inches of snow overnight, blanketing the area, including the lawn of the Jackson County Courthouse in Brownstown.
As much as 5 to 6 inches are being reported in some areas.
Several property damage wrecks, mainly involving vehicles in ditches, were reported overnight by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department.
Sgt. Stephen Wheeles, public information officer for the Indiana State Police Versailles Post, reported at 9:30 today that Interstate 65 appears to be in good shape thanks to the Indiana Department of Transportation crews.
