COLUMBUS, INDIANA

Diana June Caplinger, 55 of Seymour, died at 5:54 PM, January 24, 2021, at Schneck Medical Center.

Diana was born October 2, 1965 in Seymour, the daughter of Charlie Ross and Martha Borders Ross.

On top of being a mother, nana, sister, aunt and friend, She was an area rep for global insights, which allowed her to meet people from all over the world. She loved being apart of the church and being a youth worker on the southwest Indiana district. She was a woman who never met a stranger, she was a mother to many over the years and a great steward of Faith and her Love for Christ.

FUNERAL SERVICE

The funeral will be Friday January 29, 2021 11:00 AM at Columbus First Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Dwayne Mills and the Rev. Scott Brown officiating. Calling will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Columbus First Church of Nazarene then 10:00 AM to 11:00 am Friday January 29, 2021. Burial will be at Conologue Cemetery.

MEMORIALS

Friends wishing may make memorials out to Jewell Rittman Funeral Home toward funeral expenses and toward starting a scholarship fund to help youth attend Church Camp with the southwest Indiana district.

Survivors include son, Joseph D. (Cortney) Caplinger, Rev. Joshua W. (Jennifer) Caplinger both of Columbus, brother, Gary (Barbara) Ross of Commiskey, Indiana, sister, Sue (Tom) York of North Vernon, grandchildren Calvin, Naomi, Kennedy, Caroline, Claire, 16 Nieces and Nephews, 7 exchange students from around the world.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Leon Ross, sister, Audrey York and Cecilia Ross.

Services were entrusted to the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.
