
Cable Spall and Jacob Moeller scored 13 points apiece, but foul trouble across the board cost Crothersville on Tuesday night in a 52-41 loss to New Washington on the road.
The Tigers were whistled for 21 fouls to their hosts’ 11 in the Southern Athletic Conference game.
New Washington (5-11) constructed small leads in the first half, going ahead 10-7 after the first quarter and 23-19 at the intermission, but put some more distance on Crothersville in the second half.
Center Quinten Keasler collected eight points and five rebounds for the Tigers but fouled out. The other Tiger scorers were Zach Bowman with five points and Zach Helt with two points.
New Washington was led by Matthew Arthur with 22 points.
Crothersville is 2-10.
The Tigers won the junior varsity game 49-28. Matthew Clouse was high man for Crothersville with 14 points.
Crothersville hosts Trinity Lutheran on Friday night. The JV game is scheduled for a 6 p.m. tip with varsity to follow.
