Three double-figure scorers kept the Brownstown Central boys basketball team close in the first half, but despite the diversified scoring, the Braves could not keep up in the end and lost to Greensburg 69-51 on the road Friday night.

The Pirates, 10-2 after the contest, led 17-12 after the first quarter and 32-28 at the half but expanded their lead in the third and fourth quarters.

Guard Carter Waskom led Brownstown with 16 points, guard Parker Hehman scored 12 points and center Aidan Schroer added 11. Jack Benter contributed nine points for the Braves.

Brownstown (7-5) has three games this week, including Austin on the road Tuesday and against Charlestown on Friday and Corydon Central on Saturday.
