The 29th annual National No-Tillage Conference will be held virtually Jan. 12 through 15.
This conference can be viewed through a computer, tablet or phone, according to a news release from the Jackson County Soil and Water Conservation District office in Brownstown.
No-till specialists presenting at the conference will be:
- John Ikerd, an ag economist at the University of Missouri
- Steve Groff, a no-tiller and cover crop expert from Holtwood, Pennsylvania
- Loran Steinlage, a no-tiller from West Union, Iowa
- Annie Dee, a no-tiller from Aliceville, Alabama
- Rick Clark, a no-tiller from Williamsport, Indiana
- Bob Hartzler, a weed specialist from Iowa State University Extension
- Jay Baxter, a no-tiller from Georgetown, Delaware
- Kristine Nichols, a soil microbiologist from Mertztown, Pennsylvania
The county SWCD office has allocated $1,000 to reimburse 25% of the registration fees paid by the attendee. After Jan. 16, attendees can submit their paid registration confirmation to the county office. The office can receive your confirmation through a window or door until the office is open to the public again. Payments will be made on a first-come, first-served basis.
