The Trinity Lutheran girls outscored South Ripley 31-15 in the second half to roll to a 55-34 win Tuesday night in the Bollinger Athletic Complex.
The Cougars (7-1) held a 14-9 lead at the end of the first quarter and were on top 24-19 at the half before extending their lead to 37-26 after three quarters.
Sydney Jaynes topped the Cougars with 28 points and 10 rebounds, and Bailey Tabeling added 20 points.
Trinity will play a varsity-only game at Christian Academy of Indiana today, starting at 7:30 p.m.

Trinity boys lose at Austin
AUSTIN
Austin’s boys basketball team outscored Trinity Lutheran 37-32 in the second half to post a 70-64 win on the Eagles’ floor Tuesday night.
Trinity got off to a good start by taking a 21-13 after the first quarter before Austin moved on top 33-32 at the half.
Tyler Goecker topped the Cougars with 27 points, and Hudson Norton and Jacob Sabotin both scored 13.
The Cougars (0-5) will travel to Southwestern (Shelby) on Friday night.

Braves fall in MSC game
SALEM
The Brownstown Central girls managed to score only three points in the fourth quarter and lost to Salem 53-42 in a Mid-Southern Conference game Tuesday night.
Salem moved on top 19-13 in the first quarter before the Braves scored 14 in the second to trail 32-27 at the break.
Katherine Benter topped the Braves with 18 points and seven rebounds, and Kalee Borden scored a season-high 12 points and had six rebounds.
Brownstown (5-3, 3-1 MSC) will host Austin on Saturday afternoon.
