VALLONIA

Mary Lois Wise, 90 of Vallonia passed away Monday, November 16, 2020 at the Lutheran Community Home. Born July 20, 1930 in Johnson County, Indiana she was the daughter of Frank Sr. and Ebbie (Miller) Carr.

Mary was a former member of the Ratcliff Grove Christian Church where she was incredibly involved for over 36 years. For the past 15 years she was a member of Driftwood Christian church. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was known as the “family jokester”. Mary was a wonderful cook and was known for her white gravy, pot roast and mac and cheese. She loved taking care of her children, grandchildren and loved her nieces and nephews as her very own. She will be remembered as being happy, kind, caring and always putting others ahead of herself.

Survivors include her daughters, Debra Doyle and her husband Rodney of Vallonia and Katy Diann Lamin of Indianapolis; her sister, Anna Craig of Scottsburg; her brothers, Earl Carr and his wife Mary Lou of Brownstown and Wilbert Carr and his wife Shirley of Columbus; three grandchildren, Tylar Wam and his wife Ashley, Ronnie Doyle and Jessicah Lamin and one great grandson Remington Wise Doyle.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 39 years, Alvin T. Wise; her sister Ebbie Violet Simpson; her brothers, Frank Carr Jr., William Carr and Everett Carr and one granddaughter Katelin Wam.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, at 1:00pm at Woodlawn Family Funeral Centre. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday after 10:00am until the service time at the funeral home.
