BLOOMFIELD, SEYMOUR

Shirley Ann (Mackey) Swindall, 85, of Bloomfield, of Seymour passed away on Monday, November 9, 2020. She was born April 24, 1935, in Seymour, Indiana she was the daughter of Earl and Esther Mackey (Wilkins). On August 25, 1957, Shirley married Van B. Swindall at Immanuel Lutheran Church; he preceded her in death on September 19, 2016.

Shirley was a graduate of Shields High School, class of 1954. She worked at Diamond Chain in Indianapolis for 13 years. Shirley and Van owned and operated Van’s Archery Shop in Greenwood for many years. They were both professional archers and traveled to archery tournaments all over the United States. After retiring from the archery shop, they traveled in their camper for many years. They enjoyed spending time together hunting, fishing and being in the mountains.

She is survived by a sister, Earlene Schutte; niece, Sonya Cahalan; nephew, Justin Baier; and sisters-in-law, Deanna Sullivan and Patricia Ashman.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and beloved husband.

Graveside service for Shirley will be conducted by Voss & Sons Funeral Service at Riverview Cemetery on Thursday at 12:30 p.m., with Rev. Jimmy Rodriguez officiating.
