Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1925 plans to host a veterans appreciation dinner at 7 p.m. Oct. 9 at the post, 311 S. Jackson Park Drive, Seymour.

The dinner is for veterans who served in Operation Desert Shield, Operation Desert Storm, the Global War on Terrorism, Afghanistan and Iraq.

As a way to show appreciation for their service, a veteran and one guest are eligible to eat for free. The cost for dinner is $11.

The menu will include roast beef, roasted potatoes and carrots, salad and a dinner roll.
