Public hearings set during Brownstown school board meeting

The Brownstown Central Community School Corp. board of trustees will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the administration office, 608 W. Commerce St., Brownstown.

It will start with a public hearing for prebargaining negotiations in which public comment will be taken.

Then the regular meeting agenda includes a public hearing for the 2021-2023 capital projects plan and 2021-2025 bus replacement plan. 

Also, Students of the Month will be honored, the three school principals will give reports, first and second readings of policies and making elementary specials a pass/fail option will be considered for approval and Superintendent Tim Taylor will give a report.

The meeting and a work session at 6 p.m. are open to the public and press, but an executive session at 7 p.m. will be closed to the public and press. The purpose of that session is for trustees to receive information about prospective employees and discuss individuals over whom the governing body has jurisdiction and to discuss strategy with respect to collective bargaining.
