Music, fireworks set this weekend in Seymour

The Jackson County Visitor Center has shared information about free activities to celebrate the Fourth of July.

Live music

Past Tense will play at 7 p.m. Friday at Southern Indiana Center for the Arts, 2001 N. Ewing St., Seymour. You can bring your own lawn chair and cooler.

Adam Crabtree will play at 7 p.m. Friday at Rails Craft Brew and Eatery in downtown Seymour.

The Strings of Indian Creek will play at 7 p.m. Friday and the Hagedorn Family Band will play at 7 p.m. Saturday at Harmony Park next to The Brooklyn Pizza Co. and The Seymour Brewing Co., 753 W. Second St., Seymour.

Fireworks

The Seymour Parks and Recreation Department is offering a free fireworks show around 10 p.m. Saturday at Freeman Field Recreational Complex, 2476 N. State Road 11, Seymour.

The show should last between 25 and 30 minutes.

Radio 96.3 WJAA will synchronize its programming with patriotic songs that will complement the show.

No alcohol or private fireworks are permitted on city property.
