•At Seymour High School, earned four varsity letters each in football, basketball and track and field.
•Qualified for the track and field state meet his freshman year in the discus. State champion in the discus his junior year and state champion in the shot put his senior year.
•Attended Indiana University one year, a medalist in the discus at the Big Ten Championships.
•Transferred to Auburn University in 2007. Three-time All-American in the shot put. Place third indoors in NCAAs senior year.
•Graduated from Auburn in 2011 and trained for the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials.
•Finished ninth at the trials and became a resident at Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, California, throwing professionally from 2012 to 2015. Retired after injury.
•Coached California State University Northridge from 2015 to 2017. Coached men and women to Big West Outdoor Track and Field Championships in discus.
•Since 2017 has coached men’s and women’s throwers at the University of Iowa. In his first season, four athletes earned All-American honors, set four school records and earned two Big Ten titles.
•Coached Laulauga Tausaga to outdoor Big Ten titles in the shot put and discus. She was the NCAA outdoor discus champion in 2019.
