COLUMBUS
Rex D. Bunch, 62, of Columbus, passed away May 18, 2020 at 8:10 p.m., peacefully, at his home with his family by his side.
He was born May 4, 1958 in Columbus, Indiana to Charles (Jack) and Nelda Jean (Woodcock) Bunch. Rex was a graduate of Columbus High School, Class of 1976.
He married Teresa (Barnes) Bunch on September 7, 1979. Rex worked for NTN Driveshaft as a Production Supervisor. He was an avid outdoorsman. Rex loved to help others by shoveling snow, doing repairs, and cutting and delivering firewood.
Rex is survived by his loving wife, Teresa; daughter, Kaitlyne (Ethan) Ellis of Columbus; siblings, Nelda Wright and Jeff “Bo” (Crystal Graves) Bunch, all of Columbus; and sisters-in-law, Wanda Artist and Karen (Curt) McIntosh, all of Columbus. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; Todd Wright, Alisha “Nikki” Miracle, Justin Bunch, Wesley Bunch, Allyson Bunch, Angie (Andy) Wiggins, Tricia (Jim) Brookover, Brea (Stacy York) Brewer, and Clint (Penny) Ahrmann; as well as several great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jean Bunch; father Jack Bunch; sister, Jackie Miracle; and brother, Daryl Bunch.
There will be a private funeral service on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at Myers-Reed Chapel with burial following at Flatrock Baptist Cemetery. A public service will be held at a later date.
A visitation will be held Monday, May 25, 2020 from 1 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Due to COVID-19 guidelines, visitors may experience a wait time and may be asked to wait outside.
