Library plans virtual and live storytimes

The Jackson County Public Library is moving all weekly storytime programming online this summer.

Programs will be posted on the library’s Facebook page on June 9 and 23 and July 7 and 21 with a link to the library’s YouTube channel, which can be accessed at any time. Click the "Subscribe" button on the YouTube channel and the notification bell icon to stay caught up with the library’s virtual programs.

Live storytimes also will be available for those who wish to participate with the storytime provider and their peers in a video chat setting at 9 a.m. for babies 0 to 24 months, 10 a.m. for toddlers ages 25 to 36 months and 11 a.m. for ages 3 to 5 on June 2, 16 and 30 and July 14 and 28.

Use Zoom from a computer at zoom.us or download the free app Zoom Cloud Meetings on a phone from the app store. An email is required for participants to receive a login to the program. If participants do not have an email, they should call the children’s department to request the login. These live programs will be limited to 30 participants and require registration.
