IU tennis star first team All-Big Ten

Indiana University senior tennis player Bennett Crane from Huntersville, N.C., has been named first-team, All-Big Ten.

The school announced his selection Tuesday. Crane distinguished himself in singles in such events as the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Ohio Valley Regional Championships and qualified for the ITA National Fall Championships.

Playing No. 1 doubles for the Hoosiers, Crane teamed with senior Zac Brodney, of Los Angeles, putting together an 8-2 record. During the season, Crane also scored a victory over the eighth-ranked player in the country versus the University of California Santa Barbara.

Carson Haskins, a sophomore for the Hoosiers from Ballwin, Mo.,, was recognized with the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award.
