The Crothersville Town Council will have a special meeting at 6:15 p.m. Friday at the town hall, 111 E. Howard St., Crothersville.
The purpose of the meeting, open to the public and press, is to hire a police officer.
The council also will meet in executive session at 5:30 p.m. to discuss personnel. That meeting is closed to the public and press.
