Brownstown library implements curbside service

Brownstown Public Library, 120 E. Spring St., introduced curbside service Friday.

Hours of service will be 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 to 6 p.m. Friday; and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday.

To use the service:

  • Use the catalog at evergreen.lib.in.us/eg/opac/home or contact the library at 812-358-2853 to place the items you want on hold.
  • You will receive a call when your items are ready to pick up
  • Call the library when you are in the parking lot.
  • Staff will place the items in your trunk, on the table or empty passenger seat.

There also will be two parking spaces dedicated for Wi-Fi in the parking lot.

Holds will be limited to 15 items per card with a limit of five DVDs, and patrons will need to show identification to pick up holds. Any holds placed after 6:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 5:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday will be available on the next business day.

All items must be returned in the book drop. Staff will not be accepting returns at vehicle.

The library will reopen to the public when a safe environment for customers and staff can be provided.
