Helen Harmon Redicker, 85, of Brownstown, passed away at 10:17 a.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2020 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She had been ill for one week. Helen was of the Christian faith and loved the Lord and reading her bible. She was a volunteer with the Schneck Hospital Pink Ladies Guild and was also a volunteer for the Provisions Food Pantry for 21 years. She loved bird watching, painting, watching religious programs and being with her dog-Buddy. She will be missed by her many friends and family.
Helen was born on May 25, 1934 in Winchester, Indiana to the late Daniel & Bernadine Drake Harmon. She married John William Redicker on November 25, 1972 in Vallonia and he preceded her in death on October 25, 2004. Survivors include a step-daughter, Wanda (William) Garriott and a step-son, Gary (Becky) Fisher; nephew, Ray (Jeannie) Redicker, nieces, Jane (Steve) Drake and Sandy Anderson; several great & great great nieces and nephews.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant daughter-Connie Harmon, brother-Earl Harmon, sister-Betty Jean Harmon, & nephew-Robert Earl Harmon.
Private funeral services will be held at Johnson Funeral Home on Monday, May 18, 2020 with Michael Hogg officiating. Burial will take place at the Vallonia Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Provisions Food Pantry and can be mailed to Johnson Funeral Home, 2005 S. Main St. Vallonia, IN 47281.
