NORTH VERNON

Mrs. Dorothy Jewell Carr, 88, of North Vernon, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2020 at Majestic Health Care in North Vernon. She was born in Madison County, Kentucky on May 24, 1931 to James S. and Lillie (Long) Adams.

Private family funeral services will be conducted by Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Monday with burial to follow at Cana Cemetery.

On October 1, 1955, she married Benjamin Henry Carr; he preceded her in death on June 2, 2019. She worked for Arvin Industries for 20 years. She enjoyed cooking and washing dishes.

She is survived by brother, Dean; sisters, Renda and Juanita.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Edward, Reem “Bill” and Dwight; and sisters, Ruth and Sally.

Memorials may be written to Majestic Health Care for the wonderful care they provided for both Ben and Dorothy during their stay, in care of Voss & Sons Funeral Service.
