Most Department of Natural Resources Division of Fish and Wildlife shooting ranges are scheduled to begin reopening Monday and throughout next week.
Areas have been shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic that has been sweeping the world. The reopening plan will require visitors to adhere to social distancing guidelines, and there will be intense cleaning programs at the sites.
As part of the distancing guidelines that remain in place, the number of shooters allowed into facilities will be limited on the ranges at one time.
One range will open ahead of the main group. Atterbury Fish and Wildlife will open by appointment-only today through Sunday before resuming regular hours Monday. Those seeking an appointment may call 812-526-6552.
The one exception to the ranges opening is Willow Slough in Morocco in the northern part of the state. That range will stay closed until further notice.
Shooting hours vary between locations when they reopen next week. Those wishing to shoot should check into the schedules at each individual site.
