Members of the Seymour Area Cruisers car club fired up their engines and drove past four assisted living facilities Saturday for a rolling car show.
After gathering in the parking lot at Seymour High School, they traveled in a single-file line down Community Drive to West Second Street before briefly getting on West Tipton Street to turn into the parking lot of the first stop, Covered Bridge Health Campus.
Residents and staff members greeted them outside, many holding signs with “Thank you” written on them.

The other stops were at Lutheran Community Home, Seymour Crossing and Seymour Place.
Margaret Wilson, one of the photographers capturing photos of the rolling car show, said she counted 60 vehicles participating. Shelia Mayfield helped her with taking pictures of the vehicles.
The event was organized by one of the club members, Harold Ruddick.
“Car guys and gals doing what we do best,” Ruddick posted on Facebook while sharing the gallery of Wilson and Mayfield’s photos. “Hope we made their day a little better. What a great day for the community.”
