Brownstown Central High School has released details about its plans for a graduation parade May 23.
Visit linktr.ee/bravesbchs and click on "Graduation parade information" to see a map of the parking lot and parade route and "Graduation senior assigned parking spot list" to see where seniors should park their vehicles to line up for the parade.
Students should arrive by 12:15 p.m. and check in along North Elm Street. Then they should park in their assigned spot and remain inside their vehicle at all times. There should only be one graduate per vehicle. Only school personnel will be allowed to park on the school campus.
Starting at 12:30 p.m., staff members will direct vehicles out one by one, and students will drive near the school building to pick up awards, packets, diplomas and other items. Staff will then direct students to the parking lot before the parade.
The police and firetruck escort will stage on Elm Street around 1 p.m. to lead the parade. The route will turn right from Elm Street to Bridge Street, then go along Ewing Street to Commerce Street, then turn left at the stoplight onto Main Street and end up back on Bridge Street to the school.
Tune into Radio 96.3 at 12:30 p.m. to listen to the live broadcast.
The school also plans to have a prerecorded virtual ceremony available on YouTube at 10 a.m. that day through a link provided on the corporation’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages.
